Susan Van Gieson

Susan Van Gieson is a watercolor and oil artist. She paints realistic scenes as well as images which combine reality and fantasy. These paintings are reflective of her many years of experience as an illustrator and an art therapist. Her experience illustrating books on trees and insects helped enhance her technical skills while the experience as an art therapist working with psychiatric patients has helped reflect emotion in her paintings. Her work can be seen throughout the Outer Banks in galleries and periodic shows. .
